What happens with wifi
Wifi shares the air with everything in your home and next door: phones, microwaves and other routers. Every wall between the router and the TV costs signal. The result is a speed that keeps changing, and you see that as a stuttering picture.
What a cable does
A network cable delivers the same speed every second. For streaming that matters more than a high number. A flat cable runs under the skirting board or the rug without being seen.
No room for a cable?
Then place the router in the open and up high, not in a cupboard. Choose the 5 GHz band if the TV is close, or use a set of powerline adapters to bring the network to the TV.
How to test the difference
Not sure whether a cable helps in your home? Borrow a long network cable, connect the TV with it for one evening and watch the same channel as usual. If the picture is steadier, you have your answer. If it still stutters, your wifi is not the cause and we keep looking with you over WhatsApp.
